Leo and Thor love their warming light!

Winter has arrived early, but that doesn't stop Leo and Thor from wanting to go outside. So we have a warming light set-up for them, along with a heated house and heated water bowl, on our back porch. That way they can come and go as they please and warm up whenever they want. Of course, they can come inside whenever they ask, but so far, they seem to prefer their snugly outdoor bed.

Fall is approaching!

Now that the weather is turning, Leo and Thor seem to be having shorter days outside.  We're happy about that, because it gets dark so early once late fall/early winter hit.  We like both cats to be inside by 5 p.m., so if you see them, send them on their way!

Thanks for returning lost collars!

Thank you to the very kind neighbors who have taken the time to return Thor's collar to us two different times in the past few weeks.  We keep a flexible collar on him in case he gets stuck on a branch or something and he seems to take advantage of that. We're fortunate to have thoughtful neighbors (and so are Leo and Thor)!

We found Leo Wednesday Morning (5/21)

We found Leo near Green Road this morning and took him home to feed him.  (Thor came home at 9:30 last night on his own and is now back out for today.) Leo doesn't tolerate being inside, so after some belly rubs, he will be going back out.  We will bring him inside again tonight--if you see Leo or Thor late afternoon or early evening, send them on their way!

Have you seen Leo or Thor today (Tuesday, May 20)?

Yes, it is spring and, yes, Leo and Thor love warm weather. But we are concerned because Leo did not come home last night (and we could not find him), and today it is now 7:46 and neither one is home.  If you see either one, would you please call our home at 734-663-1786 and we will come and get them!

Leo and Thor have spring fever

Now that the weather is warm again, Leo and Thor are out and about for the day.  We like to have them home by around 5 p.m. and if they're not, we go out to find them.  If you see them as they wander around, wave them on and encourage them to come home!  Thanks.

Leo and Thor are back in action!

After 4 frigid days of having to stay indoors, Leo and Thor are delighted to go out and play in the snow today.  It was challenging to keep them entertained (and to keep Leo from deciding not to use his litter box) but we made it through!  Let's hope the rest of the winter goes smoothly.  They have their heated hut and warm lamp to stop off and warm up before their next round of adventures. Of course, they come inside for the night for a cozy place to sleep and gear up for another day.

January 3: It's cold outside and Leo has not come home

Leo went out this morning, as usual, and has his heated hut on our back porch that he an go to any time he needs to get warm. If he does not spend a significant amount of time outside each day, he pees in our house.  He has not come home tonight (it's now 9:30 p.m.) and we usually find him on the back porch each day in late afternoon or early evening. We're wondering if someone let him in their house thinking that he did not have a place to go and wanting to be nice to him.  We can assure you that we have safe, warm provisions for Leo at our house and we are there each day to let him inside for the night. If you have Leo inside your house, please let him out so he can go home.  Thanks!
